Thank you for visiting my site!
My name is Ella Rose and I recently graduated from Louisiana State University with a major in Textiles, Apparel and Merchandising, a concentration in Apparel Design, and a minor in Fine Arts/Studio Arts.
During my time at LSU, I had some amazing opportunities to show off my creative abilities. In March of 2013 I was named an "Emerging Artist" and created my very first collection to show on the runway at New Orleans Fashion Week. I also served as the Hemline @LSU President, an on campus fashion organization of about 100 students, and had the honor of showing my collections with Hemline's final show for two years.
When I started my time at LSU, I was an undecided Studio Arts major, and wasn't exactly sure what I wanted to do. All I knew is that I wanted to create. Three years later, I finally figured out a way to combine my love of painting, florals, and impressionistic artwork with my fashion design process. Since then, I have continued experimenting with painting on velvet, as seen in my senior collection, screen printing on cottons and having paintings digitally printed onto fabrics. I'm excited to continue growing in my design process, and building my brand and portfolio over the next few months.
